Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday

Hi everyone I hope you are all having an amazing day and are staying safe. So this last week and a half have been pretty hectic and I haven’t been on here much. My host family went on a trip to Chicago for a week and were kind enough to take me with them so I didn’t get a lot done reading or blogging wise.

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on A World of Words. And is basically where we all get together to share:

  1. What we have recently read?
  2. What we are currently reading?
  3. What we plan to read next?

What I Have Recently Read

So I technically haven’t finished any books since my last post. Though I did decide to put The Stone Wall Reader on the back burner for a little while as I have been finding it difficult to stay engaged due to the format.

What I Am Currently Reading

So while I haven’t actually finished any books as usual I have started way to many.

I’m still reading When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore and Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky. I’m enjoying both of these but weirdly have been in the mood for a fiction book recently.

Two non-fiction books that I have picked up am really enjoying are Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall and A (Very) Short History of Life on Earth by Henry Gee.

What I Plan On Reading Next

Honestly I plan on not picking up any more books in the foreseeable future until I have finished the ones I already have ongoing. Though I don’t have high hope that I will actually stick to that 🤣🤣

How has your week been?? What have you been reading?? Have your read any of the above?? If so, what were your thoughts on them??
