Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and staying safe. So for what may be the first time since I started blogging I’m getting this post up in June and not half way through July which I’m classing as an achievement. Though I still can’t get my head around the fact that we are halfway through the year, it feels like it was just March last week.

Best Book You Have Read So Far in 2021?

The House in the Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune without a doubt. This book is so heartwarming and my new favorite comfort read.

Best Sequel You Have Read in 2021?

I haven’t read many sequels this year but I did finally pick up Act Your Age Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert. Again I absolutely loved this story and it was my favorite of the Brown Sisters Trilogy.

New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want to?

As Usual there are so many but the one that stands out most is Siren Queen by Nghi Vo.

Most Anticipated Release of the Second Half of 2021?

House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson. I adored her first novel The Year of the Witching so I’m very excited for this one coming in September.

Biggest Disappointment?

Most definitely Go Set A Watch by Harper Lee. I loved To Kill A Mockingbird but this one honestly should have stayed unpublished.

Biggest Surprise?

Bingo Love by Tee Franklin. I knew I was going to enjoy this one but I was surprised by just how much.

Favourite New Author (Debut or New to You)?

Without a doubt Cassandra Khaw.

Newest Favourite Character?

Didn’t even need to think about this one Linus Baker.

Newest Fictional Crush?

Ruhn Danaan from The Crescent City series.

Book That Made You Cry?

Again I have to pick House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. If you have read it you will know the scene I’m talking about.

Book That Made You Happy?

Again how could I not pick House in the Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune. I had a smile on my face the whole way through.

Favourite Book to Movie Adaptation You’ve Seen This Year?

I have to go with The Witcher for this one as it’s the only book adaption I’ve seen despite not actually having read the books. They are on my TBR.
