Wrap Ups and Hauls

March Wrap Up

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and staying safe. So much happened life wise in March however, it has turned out to be quite a good reading month as I read more than I have been in quite a while.

Books

I managed to get through 8 books this month and almost finished a 9th.

The first books I read were To Kill A Mockingbird and Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee. The first one I loved and the second was awful and really should have stayed unpublished.

Next I read three graphic novels Sleepless Volume 1&2 by Sarah Vaughn and Suee and the Shadow by Ginger Ly. I enjoyed these but none of them were particularly memorable.

Next I read what has so far become my favorite read of the year Act Your Age Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert. This was such an enjoyable and fun read that had me hooked from the beginning and I have a full review that you can read here.

Then I read Changling by Molly Harper. My host mum recommended this one to me and I loved it. Gave me a lot of Finishing School by Gail Carigger vibes and I look forward to finishing the series.

And lastly this month I picked up Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. My host family set up a book club and this was the first pick for it. I wasn’t too sure whether I would enjoy it going in and is one I probably wouldn’t have picked up myself but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.

  1. Great wrap up! It’s awesome that your host family started a book club! 😃 I’ve heard so many good things about Piranesi and though it’s definitely outside of my regular reads, I’m really keen to give it a try. I’m also keen to finally read Eve Brown cos it’s been on my TBR for ages, lol. I hope you’re having a great April so far!
