Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and are staying safe. I have seen the Quarter Year Reading Tag going about recently and thought I would be a fun one to take part in.
How many books have you read so far?
So January and February weren’t great reading months for me. However March did pick up quite a bit for me and so overall I have read 20 books. Not as much as I would have usually read by this time but still not too bad.
Have you already found a book you think might be a 2022 favourite?

I have read a few good books this year, two of which will definitely be making my favorites of the year list. The First being Act Your Age Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert and the second House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas.
If not what was your favourite book you read that wasn’t quite five star?

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke was pretty close to being a 5 star read for me.
Any 1 star books / least favourite book of the year?

My least favorite read of the year would have to go to A Letter to Three Witches by Elizabeth Bass which has been my only DNF so far.
Most read genre so far?
My most read genre so far will come as no surprise to anyone and that is fantasy. Though I will say I have been reading a little bit more widely so far.
A book that surprised you?

A book that surprised me was Piranesi by Susanna Clarke as I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.
Book that’s come out in 2022 already that you want to read but haven’t yet?

Way too many but some of the main ones are Something Fabulous by Alexis Hall, Violeta by Isabel Allende and The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh.
One goal you made that you’re succeeding at?
The only one I would say that I am succeeding at is my goal to read 50 books this year as I am currently 7 books ahead of schedule but that is solely down to how many books I managed to pick up in March and I’m not very optimistic that I will manage to keep ahead.
One goal you made you need to focus on?
Not reading so many books at once. I finally managed to catch up on all the books started last year and never finished. And then straight away started three books at once 🤦♀️ It’s really starting to become a problem.
New to you Booktubers/bookstagrammer/booktokers for 2022 you recommend?
This one I am completely failing at as I haven’t looked in to any new blogs this year so far and that’s something I really need to change. So if you have any favorite bloggers please let me know about them on the comments so I can go check them out.
Ooh, this is a great tag. Although, I don’t think I’m quite ready to accept we are a quarter of the way through 2022. Talia Hibbert has never disappointed me. I love the Brown Sisters series so much. The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea is one 2022 title I really want to get to as well. Hope you pick up more amazing books the rest of this year.

Wow!! I didn’t know this excited but I love it. I’m going to have to do it too. It’s kind of crazy that we are this far into the year already though. So glad to see Piranesi on here since I just bought it. 🙂 My copy of, Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea, was so delayed that I just got it a couple days ago. I cannot wait to jump in!!
