Wrap Ups and Hauls

December Wrap Up

Hi, everyone I hope you are all having an amazing beginning to 2022 and are all staying safe. So this was a bit of a strange month of me I had a lot of fun celebrating the holidays with my host family and taking part in their traditions such as going out and getting a real tree, their Advent celebrations however it was also slightly bitter sweet as it was my first Christmas away from home.

This month I also took my first ever solo trip to Sleepy Hollow. I only went for the weekend but I loved it and it’s definitely worth a visit.

Books

Anyway on to the books I read this month. So I start a lot of books this month however only finished 3, 1 poetry collection and 2 short stories.

First off I reread Fierce Fairytales by Nikita Gill for the second time this year. This is one of my favorite poetry collections and I will likely continue to read it every year.

Next I read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving in preparation for my trip and really enjoyed it. I also read Christmas Day by the same author.

Other

This month I rewatched the first season of the Witcher and watched the second series. I enjoyed this so much more the second time around which I think is down to the fact that I understood the story a lot better and season 2 was so good and on a side note I’m completely in love with Yennifer.

I also watched The Wheel of Time series this month with my host mum, which is also an amazing fantasy adaption. Though I still have the last episode to watch.

And lastly this month I watched Enchanto, which is another phenomenal Disney movie and Lin-Manuel Miranda outdone himself with these songs.

How was your December?? What was your favorite read?? Have you seen any of the above??
