Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and are staying safe. How is everyone’s holiday season going?? This was my first Christmas away from home and while it felt strange at times my host family were so wonderful at making me feel included in their celebrations and like a part of their family which I am so thankful for.
Anyway, I know Christmas is technically past but I thought I would squeeze in one more Christmas tag before the end for the year and unlike the other this is one I was actually tagged in. I would like to say a huge thanks to Maria at the character study for tagging me in this one and I hope you all go and check out her amazing blog.
Questions
Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?

I’m really looking forward to The Hacienda by Isabel Cañas coming out in May 2022.
Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing its praises?

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston, this was one of my favorite reads of the year and I don’t think I will ever shut up about it.
Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world-building?

I really love the world building in Godblind by Anna Stephens as it’s so interesting and well done.
A Christmas Carol: Favourite classic or one that you want to read

My favorite classic has to go to Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. This was one of the first I read and I feel in love with it.
Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas?

So isn’t actually put any books on my Christmas wishlist this year as I’m not at home for Christmas and need to be really strict about what books I buy as have limited capacity to bring them back home with me. But if I had the Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao would have been at the top of my list.
Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?

I’m going to pick something different than my usual for this kind of question and instead go for Pages and Co by Anna James. This was such a delightful read and I really need to finish the series.
Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favourite book covers?

Christmas Joy: What are some of your favourite things about Christmas?
I love spending time with my family, doing things like decorating the house, watching Christmas movies and baking Christmas cookies.
I’m not going to tag anyone today since the Christmas period is almost over but if you do want to give this a go then feel free to count yourself tagged.
Jane Eyre has been on my TBR for the longest time, I truly should get to it! Also, I totally agree that Mexican Gothic has an absolutely gorgeous cover.

Mooncakes is adorable! I also wouldn’t mind getting Iron Widow before the end of the year but since my family doesn’t celebrate Christmas, I’m gonna have to treat myself (and I’m totes okay with that lol)! Glad to hear you had a good first Christmas away from home with your host family. Hope you have a great new year as well!
