Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and are staying safe. I’m here with another tag I was tagged in months ago and am shamefully just getting around to it. I was tagged by Georgia from Lost in Neverland who you should definitely check out if you have already.

How did my blog start
I have loved reading my whole life and when I was 17 I stumbled across the online bookish community starting with book-tube and knew that I wanted to become apart of the community but never had the guts to sit in front of a camera. That’s when I started looking further and found the blogging community it still took me a few years before I had the courage to even write a post but I finally did 5 years ago and haven’t looked back since.
Two pieces of advice for new bloggers.
- Just go for it, it can feel scary and daunting at first putting yourself out there on the internet but it is honestly worth it.
- Interact with others as often as you can because it’s the community that really makes blogging worthwhile.
The Book Adaption Tag
What is the last book adaptation movie you saw?

I think Lord of the Rings was the last movie adaption I saw around a year ago.
What book movie are you most excited about?
I’m not really aware of new movie adaptions that are going out but I am really excited for the Lord of the Rings TV show.
Which upcoming book movie will you definitely not see?
Again I don’t know if any that are coming out soon so don’t have an answer for this.
Which book movie would you NEVER watch again?
I’m going to steal Georgia’s answer for this as I also do not plan on watching the Allegiant movie.
Is there a movie you saw that made you want to read the book if you had not yet?
I have recently been watching the Wheel of Time TV show and am loving it and will definitely be picking up the books in the future.
Conversely, is there a movie that made you never want to read the book?
Nothing specific comes to my mind for this one.
Name an adaptation that has almost nothing to do with the book it is supposedly based on.

The 100 TV is very different from the book series.
Have you ever left the theatre during a movie adaptation because it was so bad?
Yes I have, I walked out of the newest David Copperfield movie. I haven’t actually read the book though so not sure if this really counts. This is also the only time I have ever walked out of a cinema but the comedy and the layout of the movie just wasn’t for me.
Do you prefer to watch the movie first, or read the book first?
I definitely prefer to read the book first but this obviously doesn’t always happen especially when there are times I don’t even know it has a book until after I have seen it.
How do you feel about movie adaptations that age characters up? (ex. Characters that are in middle school, but in the movies, they’re all 18+)
This really depends on how it works for the story.
Do you get angry when the actors don’t look like you thought the characters would?
I wouldn’t say I get angry but it can be annoying if there is a feature specific to that character that isn’t there. It can also be really disheartening if they change an important aspect like the characters race, weight etc.
Is there a movie you liked better than its book?
Yes, I prefer that last Twilight movie to the book.
Name a book that you would love to see as a movie.

There are quite a few but I think that the Book of the Ancestor series by Mark Lawrence would make a pretty good adaption.

Thank you for the tag! This looks like it will be fun to do. 🙂 I haven’t watched the Wheel of Time show yet, but my friend got me hooked on the books (Nynaeve is MY GIRL), so I hope you enjoy those, too!

I’ll definitely do the tag! It’s just a question of will I do THIS first or will I do the Bookish Christmas Tag (which I’m self-tagging myself for after enjoying yours so much!) first.

Great post! I feel like I’m always completely clueless when it comes to book adaptations!

Thank you, I use to be really good at knowing what was being adapted when but in the past couple of years kind of stopped paying attention
