Wrap Ups and Hauls

November Wrap Up

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and are staying safe. I can’t believe that we are already in the last month of the year. I feel like that past few months have just flown by. This has been another busy month, I spent time getting to know other au pairs in my area, enjoying some autumn hiking. I also celebrated Thanksgiving for the first time with my host family and am looking forward to taking part in all their Christmas traditions this month.

So I kind of failed a bit this month in the reading department as while I started a few books I only actually completed 2.

The first book was The Paris Library by Janet Skeslien Charles. This book has two POVs the first being Odile who is Librarian at the Paris American Library during the Second World War and then we have Lily POV set years later in the 1980s, she is a young girl who is intrigued by the mysterious French lady who lives next door and makes it her mission to learn about her past. While I really enjoyed Odile’s POV, I didn’t like Lilys so much and was often pulled out of the story whenever we switched to her POV. I gave this 2.75 stars.

The last book I read was Many Waters by Madeleine L’Engle the fourth book in the Time Quintet. This was definitely my least favorite in this series so far, honestly not a lot happens in this book and I felt bored while reading it. I gave it 1.5 stars.
