Meet the Blogger Tag

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and staying safe. As usual I am way behind on my tags but hoping to catch up by the end of the year starting with the Meet the Blogger Tag. Questions

Who is your all-time favourite book character?

This is easy without a doubt it has to be Magnus Bane, I feel in love with this character when I fist read The Mortal Instruments series almost a decade ago now and no character has ever come close since.

If you were stranded on a desert island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)

This is so hard as I have so many books and my answer would likely be different every time I’m asked this depending on how I am feeling at that moment but right now I have to go with The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

What’s your most unpopular book opinion?

I think one of my most unpopular bookish opinion is that fact that I like Chaol Westfall from the Throne of Glass series when I know lot of people really don’t.

What’s your weirdest bookish habit?

I guess the fact that when I’m dusting my bookshelves I take out and dust each book individually.

What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?

Honestly I have no idea, though I can’t help but imagine their faces if I was to bring home someone like Lorcan from the Throne of Glass series.

What made you decide to start a book blog?

I’ve always loved reading but never knew many people in real life that also loved reading and when I was 17 I stumbled across book tube and knew I wanted to become apart of the online bookish community but never had the guts to sit in front of a camera and so when I looked further and found book blogs I knew this was the right place for me.

What about reading and books do you love the most?

There are lots of things that I love about reading but one of the biggest is the escapism that it gives you especially as someone who grew up with anxiety being able to open a book and disappear between it’s pages was what got me through a lot of that.

What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?

So I got my degree in Mental Health Nursing two years ago and after spending a year and a half working in the field I decided to take a break and become an Au Pair as I have always loved traveling and wanted to live in a different country. My end career goals are to become a university lecturer.

What are some book recommendations that became your favourites/obsessions?

The Mortal Instruments was a book series that was recommended to me by a school friend and the one that I am most grateful for as I fell completely in love with this series and it’s subsequent books.

What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?

Stealing my answer from before The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare. I mention these books to pretty much everyone I meet and those who know me are fed up with me mentioning them.
