Wrap Ups and Hauls

Book Unhaul

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having am amazing day and staying safe. If you read my April wrap up you may remember that I was in the process of becoming an Au Pair and moving to America for a year and after a lot of stress these past few months I finally have a leaving date and will be flying off at the end of this month and I am so excited to start this new chapter of my life.

Therefore I have been busy packing my books up for storage while I am gone and decided that this was the perfect time to really clear out my shelves of books that either just don’t interest me anymore, didn’t have a lasting impact on me and ones I don’t plan on rereading.

First off I got rid of a few series that I read years ago and that while I enjoyed them they don’t stand out to me the way that others do and I honestly don’t have any interest in rereading them. These being the Angel Trilogy by L.A. Weatherly, the Revenants Trilogy by Amy Plum, the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa, The Immortals series by Alyson Noel and the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent.

I also got rid of some single books that I read and enjoyed but again just didn’t massively stand out to me and that I don’t feel are particularly memorable. House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig, The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury, All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stievfater, The Giver by Lois Lowery, Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and Our Own Private Universe by Robin Talley.

I also have some books on here that I haven’t read yet and have lost all interest in reading. These being Furyborn by Claire Legrand, As Old As Time and A Whole New World by Liz Braswell.

And lastly I’m getting rid of both the Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray and the Classic Tales of Vampires and Shapeshifters as I’m just not a fan of either books.

Honestly I didn’t expect to get rid of so many and I actually feel better knowing that all the books that I kept are ones I truly loved and had a lasting impact on me.

Have you unhauled any books recently??

  1. It’s been a while since I last unhauled any books but I DID clean up my Goodreads TBR by about 500 books? And I have to say it probably felt even better than unhauling physical books πŸ˜‚ The Au Pair job in America sounds like it’ll be exciting times πŸ˜ƒ

  2. Before I leave for college, I also did a massive book unhaul! It’s a bit sad to see some lovely books go, but I didn’t really care for lots of the books on my shelves. Now I’m excited to have room for new books in the future! Great post πŸ™‚
