The No Disclaimers Book Tag

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and staying safe. So just to warn you all in advance this month will be full of tag posts as I am way behind and so am dedicating this month to catching up. Starting with The No Disclaimers Book Tag. I was tagged by the brilliant Organatan Librarian and I urge you all to check out their blog if you haven’t already.

Which trope(s) in books annoys you the most?

Honestly the ones that annoy me most are love triangles and insta love. I feel I have just really outgrown these and when I read a book with either you can be I will be rolling my eyes throughout.

Which writer(s) do you feel is overrated/overhyped?

I really struggled with this one but I honestly had to go with Sarah J. Maas as much as I do enjoy her books I do feel they do get more hype than they probably deserve and I will put my hand up and say I am definitely guilty of this.

What are your least favorite books you’ve read since joining BookTube blogging?

I’m going to pick Teardrop by Lauren Kate as it’s one of the ones I read read all the way through. Absolutely nothing happens in this book until the last 10 pages and what did happen was not interesting enough for me to have wasted so much of my life on.

What is a terrible ending that ruined an otherwise quality book?

I loved this series but the ending was just way just really anticlimactic feeling and I felt really disappointed by it.

Which fictional character(s) do you wish was not killed off?

I have way too many but I’m going to pick the ones that I felt weren’t necessary and also stealing the Orangutan Librarian’s answers. I won’t name names just in case anyone hasn’t read these but if you have you’ll know who I am talking about.

What are some of your bookish pet peeves?

Insta love, 2 dimensional characters and characters that have no storyline or personality out with their romantic relationships.

What are some books you feel should have more recognition?

What are your thoughts on censorship and banning books?

People have the right to choose what they want to read and what they don’t and therefore I do not belive that banning or censoring books and I think we can all agree that we have seen throughout history that damage this can do.
