Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and are staying safe. Today I am here with one of my favourite posts of the year, the Mid Year Freak Out Tag. As usual I feel like this time of year just sneaks up on you from no where and I’m never prepared for it however this is the first year where I am doing this at the beginning of July rather than the end.
Best Book You Have Read So Far in 2021?

If you read my June Wrap Up post then you will know that The One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston exceeded all my expectations and I honestly won’t be surprised of it becomes my favourite of the year. I loved the romance and cast of characters and can see myself rereading this multiple times.
Best Sequel You Have Read in 2021?

My favourite sequel of the year has definitely been The King of Crows by Libba Bray. This was such a great ending to the series and I’m so glad I finally picked it up.
New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want to?

Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare is a new release that I haven’t got to yet but hope to have finished by the end of summer.
Most Anticipated Release of the Second Half of 2021?

I’m really excited for Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone. This is meant to be a gothic fantasy and I can’t wait to pick it up. Also that cover is gorgeous.
Biggest Disappointment?

My biggest disappointment so far was A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. This had been on my TBR for years and I was really looking forward to reading it but sadly it just failed to interest me.
Biggest Surprise?
Honestly nothing has majorly surprised me yet this year.
Favourite New Author (Debut or New to You)?
Definitely Casey McQuiston and I plan on picking up the rest of they’re books.
Newest Favourite Character?
Arsenic from The Custard Protocol series by Gail Carriger.
Newest Fictional Crush?

This is a very easy one as I have fallen completely in love with Jane Su from One Last Stop.
Book That Made You Cry?

Book That Made You Happy?

The Custard Protocol series by Gail Carriger. These books are just so fun to read and have me laughing out loud throughout.
Favourite Book to Movie Adaptation You’ve Seen This Year?

I have to go with Shadow and Bone despite it being a show and not movie. But this was just amazing and one of my all time favourite adaptations.
Favourite Review You’ve Written This Year?
I haven’t written many reviews this year so I will have to go with my The King of Crows review.
Most Beautiful Book You Bought or Received So Far This Year?

I would have to go for Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch by Julie Abe. This cover is just gorgeous and the story is adorable.
