Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing month and are all staying safe. Things have slowly been opening up in Scotland so I have been able to enjoy some time seeing family and friends and making the most of the time I have with them before I head off to America.
My reading has been good this month as well and I am finally picking up and finishing quite a few of the books that I started at the beginning if the year but put back down as I just want a in the mood to finish them.
Books

The 3 books that I finally finished this month were Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch by Julie Abe, this was such an adorable middle grade read. Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert an enjoyable read about creative living. I gave 3 stars to both of these. And Dark and Deepest Red by Anna-Marie McLemore, as usual Anna-Marie blew me away with her beautiful writing and storytelling and I gave this 5 stars.

Next I reread a few of my favourite poetry collections Fierce Fairytales by Nikita Gill and the Underground collections by Erin Hanson.

I also read the Captive Prince Trilogy which I feel in love with and give 4 stars to. I have a full review coming up for this series later in June if you want to hear my full thoughts. I will mention that if you are interested in this series please know that there are lot for trigger warnings for this series rape, slavery and mentioned pedophilia and has some difficult scenes to read.

Lastly I finally picked up one of Anne Brontë’s books The Tenant of Wildfell Hall which I really enjoyed and gave 4 stars to.
Other
Some other things that I have been obsessing over this month is The Bold Tpye this is a TV show about three millennial women working at a popular magazine and each episode focuses on an important topic that is often seen as taboo in society but is important for us to be more open about from female organisms to feminine hygiene and sexual assault.

This year’s Eurovision introduced me to an Italian Rock band Måneskin and I have completely fallen in love with their music and been listening to it non-stop all week.

Oooh, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is one of my favorite classics, so I’m happy to hear you enjoyed it as well 🥰
And I’m so glad you liked my utterly incoherent fangirling over Shadow and Bone! I’m still not over the show and don’t know how I’m going to survive until season two drops 🤣 Thanks so much for the shoutout!

Also, I’m glad you gave Captive Prince a go and enjoyed it. It’s definitely a hard series read, but I thought the journey was worth it. 💕
