Wrap Ups and Hauls

June Wrap Up

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing day and are staying safe. Well I think that we can all agree that this has been a month and a half. And I just wanted to mention that just because the media seems to be moving on doesn’t mean that we should moving on Black Lives Matter Always and we need to continue doing all we can to educate ourselves and fight for real change in this world.

This month I took part in the Blackout readathon hosted by Shae over at BookswithShae you can find her channel here. And we read White Rage by Carol Anderson and White Fragility by Robin Diangelo.

I also read Howls Moving Castle by Dianna Wynne Jones. I read this for the A Touch of Whimsy book club hosted by Alexandra Roselyn and Kaylnabridged. I’m not this biggest fan of middle grade but I watched the movie recently and fell in love with it so knew I had to give this a change and I’m glad that I did as t was an enjoyable read. I gave this 3 out of 5 times.

Next I picked up Clap When You Land and feel completely in love with it. This book was everything and I have now made it my mission to read everything by Elizabeth Acevedo. I gave this 5 out of 5 stars.

I also picked up The Court of Miracles by Kester Grant. This is a Les Misérables retelling and while it starts off a little slowly I really enjoyed it by the end. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.

The last thing I picked up was 10 Things I Hate About You by Sandhya Menon. I have adored every book I have read by Sandhya so far and this was no exception. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.
