Wrap Ups and Hauls

November Wrap Up

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had an amazing month and I can’t believe we are only a month away from 2020, who else plans on bringing in the new year wearing a flapper dress and reading The Great Gatsby? So this month hasn’t been the greatest reading wise, now that I’m more than a month into my new job things are starting to get busy and I’m struggling to get into a good routine. It also doesn’t help that I’m A Celeb has started back up and that’s been eating into my reading time as well.

Anyway onto the books I did manage to read.

First off was Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. This is a book that my sister has been trying to get me to read for years and I finally gave in unfortunately though I didn’t love it. I gave it 2.5 stars. You can read my review here.

Next, I finally picked up Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. This was another one I was kinda disappointed with. If I had read it a few years ago I think I would have loved it but unfortunately it just felt like every other YA book of the time. I gave this 3 out of 5 stars. You can find my review here.

Next I started my reread of Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. I was hoping to get the first few books read but unfortunately only managed the first one. This I of course gave 5 out of 5 stars to.

I also managed to read Queen of Nothing by Holly Black. I loved this and read it in one sitting as I just couldn’t put it down. I have this 5 out if 5 stars and review to come.

Lastly I read A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kremmer. This was a great Sequel to the first book and I can’t wait to see where the story goes in the last book. I gave this 4.5 stars and review to come.

After writing this I realised that i actually read more than I thought but I was still hoping to get through a bit more but I’m hoping next month I’ll be able to get some more read.
