Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having an amazing day. I’m back with another Down the TBR Hole post, this series was created by Lost in a Story and focuses on trying to help us establish some control over our TBRs.

How it works

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf
  • Order on ascending date added
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or remove it

I’m going to try and do two of these a month and since I’m feeling adventurous I’m going to pick 10 books for each post.

First in today’s post is the Age of the Five series by Trudi Caravan. I really enjoy Trudi’s writing and I will definitely be picking up the rest of her work. I will be keeping this.

Next is Millenniums Rule also by Trudi Caravan and I will be keeping it.

Captive Prince by C.S Pacat. This is series that I am desperate to read and so will definitely be keeping it.

The King of Crows by Libba Bray. I adore The Diviners series and can’t wait to pick this up when it’s released. I will be keeping it.

Anna Karina by Leo Tolstoy. This is a classic that I am very interested in reading and so I will be keeping it.

The Complete Poems of Emily Dickenson. This is a collection that I know deep down I’m never going to pick up so it’s about time I removed it.

Lark Rise to Candleford by Flora Thompson. I really love the TV show but aren’t that interested in picking up the book, I will be removing it.

Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell. Same as above, I will also be removing it.

The Dark Wife by Sarah Diemer. I’m still as excited abut this book as I was when I first added it to my list so I will be keeping it.

Stalking Jack the Ripper by . There is so much hype around this series that kind of scares me but I also know that it’s one I want to pick up regardless so I will be keeping this.

Have you read any of these? Which should I prioritise?

  1. If you aren’t going to read The Complete Poems of Emily Dickenson (which lets be honest I never would either) you should at least read the poem There is no Frigate Like a Book! Its my favorite poem ever and I even had it made into a tattoo ❤
