Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all had an amazing month. I’ve been failing this year with keeping up with wrap ups but they are something that I plan on getting back into starting with May’s wrap up.
Books
I manged to read quite a mixture this month from full length novels to graphic novels, poetry collections and anthology.
This first book I read this month was Seven Blades in Black by Same Sykes. This was a brilliant fast paced fantasy and I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Review here.
I read a lot of poetry this month starting with The Princess Saves Herself in This One which I gave 4 stars to and The Mermaid’s Voice Returns in This One which I gave 3 stars to. Both of these are by Amanda Lovelace.
It’s taken me a year but I have finally reread all of the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare. I finished up with The Dark Artifices series, this was definitely the most sophisticated series to date and you can really see how Cassandra has grown as a writer since The Mortal Instruments. I gave all of these 5 out of 5 stars.
The next three books I read were poetry collections. The first was A Am More Than A Daydream by Jennae Cecelia which I gave 3 stars. The next was Confessions of a Wallflower by Juansen Dizon which I gave 4 stars. The last was Kaleidoscopic Skies by Ekta Daryani which I gave 3 stars.
I read two graphic novels this month Pilu of the Woods and A Quick & Easy Guide to Queer & Trans Identities. The artwork in both of these is adorable and I gave both 4 out of 5 stars. Reviews here.
I this month I also read New Suns an Anthology of speculative fiction by POC. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. Review here.
I also read Across the Void by S.K. Vaughn this month. This was a great suspenseful sci-fi that I gave 4 out of 5 stars to. Review here.
The last three poetry collections I read this month were Reverie, Voyage and Dreamscape by Erin Hanson. These were by far my favourite poetry collections and I related so much with a lot of these poems. I gave all of these 5 out of 5 stars.

Movies/TV/Music
This was a great instalment to the Conjuring Universe, not my favourite but still enjoyable.
I’m a big fan of Lord of the Rings and enjoyed learning more about Tolkien’s life however, I did find it to be boring at times and felt my mind drifting away several times throughout the movie.
This was definitely the best movie I’ve seen this month.
How has it taken me so long to watch this. I’m a big Jack Whitehall fan and this was hilarious, I also loved seeing the dynamic between him and his father.
I decided to give The Good Place a shot this month and loved it. This is a really funny and entertaining show and I can’t wait to see what they come up with in season 4.
How has your month been?
Thanks for the love on my post!! 💕 You definitely had a great reading month!!! I’m pretty excited to watch Rocketman, we haven’t had time to go see it yet, but I really want to!!
