Hi everyone, I hope you all had an amazing November. Some how I managed to do so much in November and have no idea how I manged it all.
Books
Somehow I managed to read 15 books this month, 3 of these were graphic novels, 1 poetry collection, 2 short stories, 2 short story collections and 7 novels.
First I read all three of Katie O’Neil’s graphic novels Princess Princess Ever After, Aquicorn Cove and The Tea Dragon Society. I loved each of these books and the art work throughout is gorgeous. You can read my reviews for each of these books here.
Next books I read were the last two in The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire. It’s taken me almost a year but I have finally finished this series and I loved it just as much this time round as the first.
The I read The Queen’s Wing by Jessica Thorne. This was a great start to an action packed new series and I look forward to seeing what comes next. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. Review here.
I also reread The Magnus Bane Chronicles this month. I can’t get enough of Magnus Bane he is the best character to come out of literature and I can’t wait for the trilogy we are getting of him and Alec next year.
I read Glimmerglass Girl a poetry collection by Holly Walrath. Like most poetry collections I loved some of these poems more than others and gave the collection 3 out of 5 stars.
Next I read Overshare: Love, Laughs, Sexuality and Secrets by Rose Ellen Dix and Rosie Spaughton. I have been a massive fan of their YouTube channels for about a year now so when I found out they had released a book I just had to read it an I was not disappointed. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.
I also read Fully Functioning Human (Almost) by Melanie Murphy. Like the previous book I’ve been a fan of her channel for a while and just had to get my hands on her book. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.
Next I read Mating the Huntress by Talia Hibbert. This was an enjoyable and steamy read, though I wish I had read it in October. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.
The next short story I read was The Lost Sisters by Holly Black. I loved seeing things through Taryn’s point of view. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.
Then I read Tales from The Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare. I loved getting to read from Simon’s view and I’m always a sucker for boarding school settings.
Next I read A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer. This is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and I loved it, which isn’t surprising as I love anything Beauty and the Beast related. I gave this 4 out 5 stars. Review to come.
And lastly I read Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. This is such a beautifully written book and I adored everything about it. I gave this out of 5 stars. Review to come.

Movies
Bohemian Rhapsody. I’m a massive fan of Queen and was so excited for this movie and I can happily say that that it surpassed all my expectations
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. I really love the Nutcracker story but sadly this was a disappointment. It’s not the worse movie I have ever seen but way too cringy for me.
Geostorm. This was an amazing movie and had me on the edge of my seat throughout. It reminded me a lot of Armageddon and the special effects used throughout were amazing.
The widows. I enjoyed this movie so much more than I was expecting, it’s very intriguing and draws you in right from the beginning.
Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald. I didn’t love this as much as the first one and there are a few discrepancies in this from what we have previously been told but I still enjoyed it and the CGI effects are outstanding.
Music
This month I have been listening a lot to Anne-Marie and went to see her in concert last weekend.
How was you’re month?
I cannot believe that Cassandra can write so many books about the same universe! She must have such a great imagination haha I am happy to see Stranger the Dreamer and that you like it that much! I also watched the Fantastic Beast movie! it was… fun to watch… haha I want to watch Bohemia Rhapsody! 😦 You wrote a lot too! congratulations!

Thank you 😀 I have no idea how she manages and how she can keep readers so engaged inbthe world for so long. Strange the Dreamer was definitely worth all the hype and I can’t wait to start Muse of Nightmares. I hope you enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody if you watch it 💜💜

You totally convinced me to pick up some of Katie O’Neill’s books, so I’m glad they were good reads. And I definitely can’t wait for A Curse with a 4 star review. Great wrap-up, Michaela! 🙂

Strange the Dreamer is so beautiful. Laini Taylor is such an opulent writer. I really enjoyed the world-building in this novel. Haven’t had the pleasure of picking up the sequel yet. Any plans to pick up Muse of Nightmares soon?
