Pride Flag Book Tag

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having an amazing day. I saw this tag over on Melanie’s blog and it’s perfect for Pride month.

Red (Life) – A book with a spirited protagonist totally proud of who they are. Someone who gives you life?

Magnus Bane from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. Magnus Bane is my favourite character.

Orange (Healing) – A book that made you, as the reader, find a deeper meaning or catharsis in your own life.

For this one I’m going with The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare for roughly the same reason as above I read this book at the time that I was finally starting to accept my sexuality.

Yellow (Sunshine) – A book that fills you with so much joy it could brighten even your darkest day.

Autoboyography by Christina Lauren. This is my all time favourite book and I don’t think it will ever fail to make me feel good after reading it.

Green (Nature) – A book that is set out of this world — a reality different to our own.

Of Fire and stars by Audrey Coulthurst. which takes part in a fantasy world.

Blue (Peace) – A book where one of the characters finds peace with a difficult truth.

Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley. Both of the main characters Sarah and Linda struggle throughout this book to come to terms with the fact that they are both lesbians in 1950s America and it was great reading about there journey.

Purple (Spirit) – A book that deals with LGBT+ themes and religion.

For this I’m going with Autoboyography again as this book as one of the main characters is a Mormon coming to terms with the fact that he is gay.
