Mid Year Freak Out Tag

Today I’m back with another tag. I was tagged by the brilliant Mandy at Book Princess Reviews and Emma at A Dreamer’s Library to do the Mid Year Freak Out  Tag, you should all go and check out their blogs. I have cheated and put down more than one book for some of these questions.

Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2017?

I’ve read so  many good books that I can’t just pick one so here’s a few of my favourites.

Best Sequel of 2017 so far?

Wayfarer the sequel to Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. I loved this book and its one of my favourite conclusions to a series ever.

New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want to?

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. This book sounds amazing, has been getting so many great reviews and the cover is so pretty.

Most Anticipated Release of the Second Half of 2017?

Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff the squeal to Nevernight one of my favourite reads in 2016.

Biggest Disappointment?

At Waters Edge by S. McPherson. I was really excited to read this book as the concept of parallel universes really interests me but I just couldn’t get into the story and I didn’t care for the characters.

Biggest Surprise?

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. I’m not a big contemporary reader so I was a little apprehensive going into this book but I really enjoyed it.

Favourite New Author (Debut or New to You) ?

Angie Thomas I absolutely loved her debut novel The Hate U Give. This is such an amazing and important novel and I can’t wait to read her next book.

Newest Fictional Crush?

Rishi from When Dimple Met Rishi as he’s completely adorable.

Newest Favourite Character?

I’m going to cheat and pick two Etta and Nicholas form the Passenger duology by Alexandra Bracken.

Book That Made You Cry?

I’ve read so many books that made me cry this year.

  • The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
  • The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
  • A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
  • Roseblood by A. G. Howard
  • Both books in the Passenger Duology by Alexandra Bracken

Book That Made You Happy?

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. This is such a cute book that had me laughing out loud throughout.

Favourite Book to Movie Adaptation You’ve Seen This Year?

The two adaptions I have watched this year are Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Live action movie which I loved and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword which I hated.

Favourite Review You’ve Written This Year?

I’m still new to writing reviews and don’t believe that their that good yet but hopefully the more I write the more I’ll improve. Though I feel that my When Dimple Met Rishi is my best so far.

Most Beautiful Book You Bought or Received So Far This Year?

Roseblood by A. G. Howard. I love this cover and it fits so well with the story.

What Books Do You Need to Read by the End of the Year?

By the end of the year I will love to have read both the Grisha trilogy and Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo.

  1. Ahhh! I literally have passed by The Hate You Give and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe sooooo many times during my weekend book sprees and I still have YET to bring them home. And now I’m noticing them on just about every one of my book buddies reviews!
I see so many on your list to add to my ever now increasing TBR pile!
Thanks for the great post and I just may try out this tag myself if its alright 😀
Happy Reading and I look forward to reading more of your posts soon! 🙂

    1. Their both really good and I hope you enjoy them when you get round to reading them. Thank you so much and feel free to do the tag its really fun though really difficult to pick just one book for some of the questions which is why I ended up cheating at some of them.

  2. I’m really glad to see you liked the Passenger duology so much. I bought the first book soon after it released and then got kind of nervous because I started seeing a lot of mixed reviews so I still haven’t read it. I really want to give it a try soon though!
