Wrap Ups and Hauls

May Wrap Up and Haul

This has been pretty great month as I managed to read 8 books which is more than the last two months combined, I Also bought five books. I spent a week away in Fuerteventura relaxing in the sun with my family. We went at a great time as well as it was raining all week in Scotland. I managed to write quite a few posts this week and read some great ones.

The Books

The first book I read was Roseblood by A. G. Howard which is a retelling of Phantom of the Opera, I gave this book a 4.5 stars. You can read my review here.

The second book I read was A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas, the third in the A Court of Thorns and Roses and the last following the story arc of Feyre. This book I gave 5 stars to. You can read my review here.

The third and fourth books I read were Trail by fire and Fire Walker by Josephine Angelini the first two in the World Walker series about a girl who is transported into a parallel universe by that worlds version of herself. I gave the first book 3 stars and the second 3.5 stars.

The fifth book I read was Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. This is a brilliant piece of gothic literature and I gave it 5 stars.

The sixth book I read was Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. This was a great LGBTQI+ book and I gave it 4 stars.

The seventh book I read was Spellslinger by Sebastian De Castell. This is a great YA fantasy about a boy, Kellen, who lives in a world were those with magic rule and those without serve and he must spark his magic bands before he turns sixteen or spend the rest of his life as a servant. I really enjoyed this book and gave it 4 stars.

The last book I read this month was The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank. This book was heart breaking and is one I believe everyone should read. I gave this book 5 stars.

  1. Yeah, so glad to see you enjoyed Ari and Dante and ACOWAR! Still in the process of reading ACOWAR because I’m in a reading slump, but I’m enjoying it so much so far! And Ari and Dante is one of my favorite contemporaries of ever. ❤ I hope you enjoy The Song of Achilles; it's one of my favorites!

Thanks so much for linking back to my post about subjective and objective book reviews! Your comments are appreciated! 😀
